PART 1: USN and USMC

VP-16 (LF) is operating six P-8A Poseidon’s (168429’430’433’435’438’439) five of which were involved in the search for MH370 with examples being rotated to the Perth Airport WA. Lined up on the north ramp (P2) with one or two examples daily circuit bashing on RW23R (P3).

VP-46 (RC) is still operating (at least) eight P-3C’s, several in this line up (P4) including 161587 (P5) seen here, with a LSRS pod slung underneath (P6)

VQ-1 (PR) continue to operate a pair of EP-3E Aries 11, 153887 pictured (P7)

Three KC-130J’s from VMGR-152 (QD) at nearby MCAS Futenma were noted with brief stopovers (P8), plus visiting 164597 KC-130T-30 from VMGR452 (NY) StewartNew York
