Activity
from Offutt’s 55th Wing’s (OF) detachment were 14849 RC-135U ‘Combat
Sent’ (P18) (in April this aircraft was subjected to a reckless intercept by a
Russian SU-27 while on a routine mission in international airspace over the Sea
of Okhotsk-BBC report), 14845 RC-135W ‘Rivet Joint’ (P19), and 24128 RC-135S ‘Cobra
Ball’ (P20/P21), (P22 black starboard wing and engine cowls visible). Additional sortie was 23582 WC-135C ‘Constant
Phoenix’ (P23), which has been active ready
